Military Airstrike on Naungcho Town Leaves Homes and Vehicles Damaged

In the morning of September 22, the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike on the Tetphan Kone neighborhood in Naungcho Town, dropping four 500-pound bombs. According to a statement from the TNLA (Ta’ang National Liberation Army), the attack left three civilians injured, with several homes, cars, and motorcycles damaged.

This attack follows a similar airstrike on September 21, when a Y-12 aircraft targeted Naungcho’s night market, downtown, and Zone 4 marketplace. Three bomb explosions were reported, resulting in one civilian being injured, as well as damage to homes and shops.

The TNLA also reported that daily bombings with 500-pound bombs and artillery strikes have killed 15 civilians, including two children, and injured 13 others in Naungcho. The attacks have also destroyed 27 homes, two monasteries, and one school.
