In Yangon, Kyauktada Township, a banner reading “Justice Endures as Long as the World Exists” was displayed on Pansodan Overpass by members of the Sanchaung Strike Force (SC Strike) and Revolution Force (RF) on the morning of July 23.
Today’s date marks the second anniversary of the unlawful execution of prominent activists including Ko Phyo Zeya Thaw (also known as Ko Maung Kyaw), Ko Jimmy (also known as Ko Kyaw Min Yu), Ko Hla Myo Aung (also known as Ko Myo), and Ko Aung Thu Ya Zaw (also known as Ko Ga Tone) by the military junta. These individuals were executed without prior notification in a blatant disregard for legal processes, in response to their resistance against the military regime.
The banner was prominently displayed over Bogyoke Aung San Road, symbolizing the ongoing struggle for justice and the resilience of the resistance movement in Myanmar.
