The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) has announced that they provided medical treatment to Lashio Deputy District Police Chief Hla Myo, who was injured during the battles for Lashio, Shan State. According to MNDAA, he is now recovering well.
During the initial stages of the Lashio offensive, Deputy Police Chief Hla Myo was responsible for overseeing checkpoints and security patrols within the city. He attempted to flee Lashio on July 20, during intense fighting, but was injured by artillery fire and had to be hospitalized.
MNDAA reported that during the attack on the Eastern Northern Military Headquarters in Lashio, the military abandoned their wounded soldiers and police officers. After MNDAA and allied forces took control of the military hospital, they ensured that lower-ranking officers, soldiers, and their families were safely relocated and received necessary medical care.
MNDAA has now declared that Deputy District Police Chief Hla Myo is in good health following the medical treatment he received.
