The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) has declared the complete takeover and commencement of administrative operations in Lashio. According to the announcement by the MNDAA’s Military Committee on July 26, the group has established control over the city and initiated governance mechanisms.

Lashio has been fully liberated, and the Union of Myanmar Special Region (1) Administration Committee, along with the Special Region (1) Police Force and the MNDAA, have taken over the city’s administration and security. The MNDAA stated that they have successfully expelled military council troops from the city and are continuing to pursue remaining soldiers.

The MNDAA released a declaration on July 25, detailing nine key points of their administrative agenda for Lashio. This declaration was officially announced on the MNDAA’s social media page today, confirming the start of their governance in the city.

The announcement emphasizes the MNDAA’s commitment to maintaining order and ensuring the safety of the residents in Lashio as they transition into their administrative role.
