In the early morning of June 3, around 8:30 AM, the Myanmar military junta dropped two 500-pound bombs on a wedding ceremony in Taung Ma Village, Min Kin Township, Sagaing Region.
Local sources report that many casualties are feared, although the exact number of dead and injured is still being verified. The attack targeted a gathering of villagers attending the wedding celebration.
It was also reported that junta aircraft conducted aerial reconnaissance over Min Kin Township on the night of June 2, prior to the bombing.
The investigation into the casualties and the extent of the damage caused by this attack is ongoing.
