The National Unity Government (NUG) has reported that the number of women killed during the Spring Revolution has reached 7,322. According to the NUG’s statement, women account for 19.8% of the total fatalities during this period. These figures cover the period from February 2021 to June 30, 2024.

In 2021, 106 women were reported killed, which increased to 314 in 2022. The number rose to 599 in 2023, and from January to June 30, 2024, there have been 6,303 reported deaths of women.

The months with the highest fatalities in 2024 were January, March, and May, with June also ranking high.

The regions with the highest female fatalities in 2024 are Sagaing Region, Magway Region, and Shan State, according to the report.
