Lattain Village in Pekhon Township, located along the Shan-Karenni border, was hit by an airstrike from the Myanmar military on the evening of September 21, around 4:30 PM. The airstrike, involving three bombs, killed one woman and injured 10 others, according to local reports.

Among those injured were four men and six women, including children. The woman who lost her life was 32 years old, and some of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

This attack follows the visit of military leader General Min Aung Hlaing to Taunggyi in Shan State, where he announced plans to regain territories recently lost. Since then, the Myanmar military has carried out multiple airstrikes targeting refugee camps and villages along the Shan-Karenni border, resulting in at least 11 deaths, many of them children, according to the Karenni Interim Administrative Council (IEC).
