The Three Brotherhood Alliance has announced plans to document the Myanmar military junta’s airstrikes, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, with the intention of submitting these records to neighboring countries and international organizations. In a statement issued on September 10, the alliance emphasized that the junta is suffering significant military defeats across Myanmar, losing control of numerous battalions, regiments, military commands, police battalions, training schools, towns, and villages on a near-daily basis.
In response to these losses, the junta has resorted to relentless airstrikes targeting towns and villages controlled by the Three Brotherhood Alliance and other resistance groups. These airstrikes are deliberately aimed at densely populated civilian areas, former military bases abandoned due to defeats, and locations with no military presence. As a result, innocent civilians—including children, pregnant women, monks, and even family members of junta soldiers and detainees—are being killed and injured daily.
The Three Brotherhood Alliance expressed deep condolences to the families of those killed or injured in these attacks. They condemned the junta’s actions as war crimes and crimes against humanity, stating that they have meticulously documented these atrocities. The alliance plans to submit this documentation to neighboring countries and international organizations that value peace and oppose acts of terrorism.
Furthermore, the alliance urged air force personnel within the junta not to participate in these violent attacks against innocent civilians. They called on these individuals to refrain from carrying out orders that contribute to the junta’s campaign of terror.
