Three Power Mandalay Mobile Second-hand phone shops in Mandalay’s Maha Aung Myay and Chan Mya Thar Si townships were shut down by the junta on June 13, according to local sources.

“A connection to the resistance movement was claimed, leading to the shutdown and confiscation of all shop items,” a local resident reported.

The targeted shops were located at:

• 80th Street, between 37th and 38th Streets, Maha Aung Myay Township
• 37th Street, between 75th and 76th Streets, Maha Aung Myay Township
• Between 82nd and 84th Streets, on U Po Gon Kyaw West Street, opposite Su Taung Pyae Chan Thar Ya Pagoda, Chan Mya Thar Si Township

Details about the status of the shop owners and employees remain unclear, another local resident informed New Day Myanmar.
