In Yetashe Township, Bago Region, two villages were bombed by junta forces using drones on September 8, resulting in at least 5 civilian deaths and over 10 injuries, according to local reports. Despite the absence of any active combat in the area, the junta deployed drones to drop bombs on the school in Kaelinseik village and Shataw village around noon.
Three civilians were killed instantly, while 12 others were injured. Among the injured, 4 were critically wounded, and two later succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll to 5.
Locals reported that junta forces have been consistently targeting civilian-populated villages and schools, with 20 civilians, including children, killed and 34 injured in attacks throughout August.
