On the morning of October 21, the military junta conducted heavy airstrikes on Naungcho and Namhsan towns, controlled by the TNLA (Ta’ang National Liberation Army), dropping 300-pound bombs and causing severe damage. According to a statement by the PSLF/TNLA, the junta’s air force used jet fighters to drop eight bombs, including two 300-pound bombs, resulting in injuries to a civilian.
At approximately 1:10 a.m., Naungcho’s Thapyay ward was hit with two 300-pound bombs and six other bombs, causing significant damage to U Gaw Ka Nat’s home and several shops in the nearby Pahut ward. One civilian was injured in the attack.
Later, around 8:30 a.m., Namhsan Township’s Kyaukphyu Lay village was also targeted by junta jets, with bombs hitting a monastery compound.
On October 19, the military conducted two airstrikes in the same region, killing four civilians and injuring three others. During the full moon festival night, the junta’s airstrikes in Naungcho injured four more civilians, highlighting the intensifying violence in the area.
